Awaken Coffee is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to employ individuals with various intellectual and developmental disabilities, promoting their skills, confidence, and dignity. They are currently fundraising to open a coffee shop in Greenville. They have12 oz ground and whole bean Awaken Blend coffee roasted in Charlotte, t-shirts, and merchandise for sale.  Follow their progress on Facebook.

Fair Traders Project began as a program initiative of NC Stop Human Trafficking as a way to introduce fair trade products into the local market. The fair trade initiative is an effort to curb demand for products made by exploited people and thereby reduce human trafficking globally. All the money from Fair Traders Project goes back to funding NC Stop Human Trafficking’s local community programming.

Leilani’s Island Inspirations 

Leilani’s is unique in the fact that the owner creates beautiful handmade re-purposed wine art, along with island-inspired gear and is also a professional Hula dancer and Instructor.  She offers Hawaiian Hula dance lessons, performances, and private instruction here in Eastern North Carolina.  She also makes amazing made-to-order Mocktails, this part of her business is unfortunately temporarily closed due to the Coronavirus but she hopes to get back to serving these yummy liquid refreshments soon.
