Freeboot + Reggae = PERFECT start to the 86th football season
GREENVILLE, N.C.— Pirate fans have showcased their school pride time and time again. The day before the 86th football season will be no different —with the help of the Official Pep Rally of home football games, Freeboot Friday. This free event, sponsored by Wells Fargo, is open to all ECU Alumni, students, and fans!
The six-part series kicks off on Friday, August 31, 2018, at 5:00 pm at the Five Points Plaza.
Freeboot Friday is opening the season with Jamrock an Afrocentric reggae band based out of the Raleigh, North Carolina. Jamrock Reggae Band was founded in 1995 through the desire of a few Jamaicans to hear authentic reggae music. The success of the group can be attributed to their sound which reflects the true style of how reggae music is played back in Jamaica. All versions of reggae are played i.e. Lovers Rock, Oldies, Dancehall and Roots. When all the ingredients are combined, there’s no sound quite like the Jamrock sound. They provide the mood, the music, and the magic to transport you to the islands of Jamaica.
