GREENVILLE, NC— TOUCHDOWN – PIRATES –  ARRGHH! As the Pirates of ECU prepare to take on the South Florida Bulls, join Uptown Greenville at the Five Points Plaza from 5-8pm, this Friday, September 29, at Freeboot Friday, the official pep rally of home football games.

Celebrate ECU’s recent win by rallying the team as they gear up to take on the University of South Florida. Over the years, the two teams have gone neck and neck, keeping fans on their toes with entertaining games and close scoreboards. Freeboot Friday features live music, children activities, arts and crafts, delicious food from food trucks Baguettaboutit and STUFT, and more.

Friday welcomes Lipbone Redding, a unique band whose roots began in North Carolina, for their Freeboot Friday debut. A one-man orchestra with no electronic effects, his natural human sounds of throat singing, bass and beat-boxing, and his astonishingly realistic lip-tromboning are a must-experience evening of entertainment—as he weaves his stories with funky rhythms, catchy melodies, brash humor, soulful singing, and inventive guitar playing. This well-traveled band combines vocal instruments and storytelling to deliver their audience with a great musical experience.

Don’t forget The Sup Dogs Game Day Shuttle services run game days from the Uptown district to Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium. This FREE shuttle will run three hours before, during, and two hours after the game for every home game. Shuttle route information can be foundhere.
