The university and the Uptown district brought the Singh family to Greenville from Wilson, and nowthey have opened their own storefront on Evans Street. “We had been coming to Greenville since 2004, and when my son joined ECU in 2010, the visits became biweekly,” said Kunwar Singh. “We loved theUptown with its shopping and dining, and found it so full of life, attractive, and historical.”
As of last semester his daughter has enrolled at ECU as well. Son Siddhartha and daughter Aieshwarya are both aspiring doctors. Kunwar, a high school teacher, holds advanced degrees himself, with masters in geology and education, and is working on a doctorate.
