Uptown Greenville’s upscale night club Still Life is moving beyond the thumping, glowing premier nighttime experience and opening its doors to host a variety of events.

“The open space and amenities at Still Life are perfect for holding large events,” says club owner Sharif Hatoum. “We have 2,800 square feet indoors plus another 1,000 square feet at our private outdoor patio. Our staff can’t be beat when it comes to taking care of guests. And we have state-of-the-art sound and light equipment, including projection equipment and multiple screens for presentations or movies. Hosting events is a natural fit for Still Life.”

Having opened its doors in 2006, Still Life has just completed its fourth renovation. “We move toward greater energy efficiency with each renovation,” said Hatoum. The club boasts very low energy consumption and more eco-friendly upgrades: It now offers guests touchless faucets and waterless urinals. Increased insulation, a new roof and enhanced air conditioning help keep it cool–a hard task for any place that welcomes over 350 people at once.

Holding true to the slogan, “Experience the difference,” those who enter Still Life will find every element of the space custom-designed, with ultra-modern booths, tables, bars, sound and light systems–all designed in-house and crafted in-house or by local contractors.

“Still Life,” says Hatoum, “operates as a venue as well as a nightclub.” Its upcoming events include fundraisers for the Dream Factory, St. Baldrick’s Foundation with Catalog Connection and the ECU Alumni Association.

Hatoum offers to donate the space for charity events, and to rent the space for corporate, community and other private events such as weddings or graduation parties, for up to 360 people.
