Freeboot Friday- Operation Gratitude Celebrates Military Service Men and Women!

GREENVILLE, NC— Operation Gratitude takes over the Veteran’s Day Freeboot Friday. The November 10th event will welcome Greenville musicians, Built for Comfort, to close out the last event of Freeboot’s 18th season. The event will also boast special Military Appreciation programming from special guests ECU Air Force ROTC, the Magnolia Belles, and the North Carolina Academy of Dance Arts.
Built for Comfort, based out of Greenville, NC, is a Blues, Soul, Rock, Americana group made up of talented musicians with a jazz influence. Built for Comfort always keeps the crowd rock’ and rollin’ with their renditions of old standards and new tunes. They play everything from Ronnie Earl to BB King to Stevie Wonder. Come sing and dance with Built for Comfort at Freeboot Friday!
As the event coincides with Veteran’s Day, Operation Gratitude- Freeboot Friday, will feature Military Appreciation performances! Additionally, Uptown Greenville with host a Treats for Troops candy drive. Bring your leftover Halloween candy to Freeboot Friday and Uptown will donate it to troops overseas.

5:00 – 5:20 pm: ECU Airforce Color Guard, Magnolia Belles
5:20 – 6:45 pm: Built for Comfort
6:45 – 6:55 pm: Military Appreciation Dance
7:00 – 7:05 pm: Moment of Silence, Pirate Veterans, T-shirt Toss, Sponsor Shout-out
7:10 – 8:00 pm: Built for Comfort
8:00 pm: Strike of event begins
The Sup Dogs Game Day Shuttle services run game days from the Uptown district to Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium. The shuttle runs three hours before, during, and two hours after each home game, including the November 18th game. Shuttle route information can be found here.
