OPERATION GRATITUDE: FREEBOOT FRIDAY REQUESTS THE PRESENCE OF MILITARY PERSONNEL

Operation Gratitude takes over the Veteran’s Day Freeboot Friday. The November 11th event will welcome Greenville musicians, Dauntless, to close out the last event of its 17th season. The event will also boast special Military Appreciation programming.

Dauntless rocks venues all across eastern North Carolina! Loaded with pirate fans, this ensemble has over 50 years of collective music and entertainment experience. Dauntless plays hits by Pat Benatar, Pink, Eminem, Journey, Michael Jackson, Reba, Tina, and Bon Jovi are just some of the 50 plus artists that Dauntless covers. Come sing and dance with Dauntless at Freeboot Friday!

As the event coincides with Veteran’s Day, Operation Gratitude @ Freeboot Friday, will feature Military Appreciation performances, free food and giveaways for the men and women who serve our Country and lots more! Additionally, Uptown Greenville with host a Treats for Troops candy drive, to send candy to the troops overseas. Bring your leftover Halloween candy to Freeboot Friday and Uptown will donate it to troops over seas.

Program details include:
5-6pm: Dauntless

6-6:15pm: Military Tribute dance

6:15-7pm: Dauntless

7-7:15pm: Moment of Silence, Pirate Veterans

7:15pm-8pm: Daunltess

8pm: Strike of event begins

The Sup Dogs Game Day Shuttle services run game days from the Uptown district to Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium. The shuttle will run three hours prior, during, and two hours post game for each home game, including the rescheduled November 19th game. Shuttle route information can be found here.

Tailgating is prohibited in the municipal parking lots, while supporting Uptown businesses is encouraged.
