Calling All (Permitted!) Food Vendors

July 21, 2014

To celebrate the 31st Annual National Night Out on August 5 this year, The Greenville Police Department and Uptown Greenville will bring citizens from across the city together to show solidarity against crime with a Street Food Fest featuring local and regional street food, live music, fun and games.

Working alongside of Uptown Greenville, the Greenville Police Department held their first National Night Out Food Truck Rodeo, last year. The event, according to Uptown Greenville Director Bianca Shoneman was a phenomenal success. “Greenville sent us the message loud and clear last year that they want to come out to stand together for a good cause and that they love the variety of a good street food festival,” said Shoneman, “and we want even more of our fantastic local and regional food vendors to participate in this year’s event.”

To help satisfy the thousands of hungry people they expect to flood the Five Points Plaza, Uptown Greenville is seeking more food trucks, tents and push carts for the August 5 National Night Out festival. Vendors must submit an application, including a copy of a Temporary Food Permit from Pitt County, by Friday, July 25.
